“Prelude” is the primer publication of The Mobile Library. The Mobile Library provides a multi-digital exhibiting experience for artists and writers to showcase their work during the pandemic closures. Each publication is unique, pairing artists and writers together at different stages in their career to build a collaborative experience.

Volume 1 Issue 1 features six artists selected for the publication and two transcript interviews with artists Nicholas B. Jacobsen and Inga Bragadottir from our podcast series, “A Guide to Art, Activism, & Culture”.

 


About

Brecht Lanfossi, is a Belgian surrealist collagist/digital painter inspired by dream-like and psychotic consciousness free of reason and convention. He is a Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK Ghent) drop out who never gave up the idea of making “art”.

Karly Villaseñor, is an interdisciplinary visual artist based out of Portland, Oregon Her work is rooted in painting with sculptural qualities and utilizing recycled materials.

Gabriel Soto, is a painter with an interest in psychedelic imagery, history, and esoteric spiritual practices. He graduated from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with a BFA in 2017. Primarily focused on oil painting, Gabriel combines imagery from both the classical tradition and several different sources to collage elements that create other worlds, dimensions, and esoteric allegories.

Sinasi Gunes, was born in 1968 and lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey. Having completed his master’s at Marmara University, Fine Art Faculty, Department of Sculpture in 1992, he has since worked across different disciplines such as installation, painting, video art, mail art, street art, sculpture and photography. He exhibits his works internationally, nationally, and in regional museums and galleries. He also curated the Audio-Video Art Festival “Obsession” in 2005 and “Visitors” International Video Art Activity in 2010.

Guilherme Bergamini, is a Brazilian reporter, photographer, and visual artist. For more than two decades, he has developed projects with photography and the various narrative possibilities that medium offers. Bergamini explores the dialogue between memory and social-political criticism. He believes in photography as the aesthetic potential and a transforming agent of society. Awarded in national and international competitions, Guilherme Bergamini participated in collective exhibitions in 30 countries.
